Haute Couture 2012

Posted 28 January 12

The Couture days in Paris just ended and here I present you my collage of what I liked best from the Parisians runways..

Romantic pastels, light florals, puffy shoulders and white pure lace…this is Valentino.
I love the lace shoes that go directly in my spring wish list!

From white ladylike lace to a darker and more sensual lace by Giambattista Valli. The main colors of the collection were white, black with a few touches of peony and plum. Lots of sequins, transparencies and visible underwear, I found it very sexy and glamorous.
I love the black transparencies and that peony color!

Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais in super chic jet and sent down the aisle models wearing all possible shades of blue, pockets had a big part on this collection (as well as in others shown these days)…
I love the embellished tights!

On the other end the Armani collection offers all shades of green (apple, lime, musk,..)
I love the tailored jackets and the black ‘masks’.. would be the perfect accessory for the coming Carnival!

On the second couture show sans Galliano, Bill Gaytten who standed behind him for 16 years showed once again the exquisite craftsmanship of the Dior atelier, the dresses looked light and effortlessly elegant with Fifties shiluettes and extremely chic necklines.. Totally different from the fantasies that John Galliano used to send down the runway but maybe more similar to what Mr. Dior himself would have dressed his clients.
I love the red ballgown!

Elie Saab is always a favorite choice among stars on the red carpet, in this collection he went much more lighter than usual, keeping his signature sparkle and glamour but in a girlier, fresher and flirtier way…with colors like yellow, baby blue, mint, pink and peach.
I love the short full-skirted dresses!

Jean Paul Gaultier tribute to Amy Winehouse with all the late singer’s trademarks.. the beehive, the eyeliner, the beauty spot and the clothes with their fifties flavor. Everything was excessive..and fun.
I love the green taffeta trench and the bright orange lace drees!

And below some extreme jewellery decorate the modern and elaborate Givenchy garments, where Riccardo Tisci sticked to a strict color palette of chocolate brown, white and black.
I love the huge earrings!
