Tonight's dinner: Spicy Calamari

Posted 21 November 12

This morning I went to the fish market and looking at all the fresh offer I decided to buy calamari and cook one recipe that I love and that's very easy, quick and tasty for dinner tonight: spicy calamari

600gr of calamari, cleand and cut in into rings
Extra-Virgin Olive oil
1 clove of garlic
small dried chili peppers to your tolerance level
Salt to tast
1 tbsp of tomato sauce
1 tsp of chili powder

In a pan heat oil, garlic and chili peppers, when it's hot add the calamari, salt, chili powder and the tomato sauce, let it cook for a couple of minutes. Add a glass of water, cover the pan and let it cook for about 15/20 minutes.

I'm serving them with some rice on the side that after boiling it I put in the oven with some butter, olive oil and chili power for about 10 minutes so it becomes a bit crunchy.

For the wine I opened a light German Riesling.

The smell in the kitchen now is very inviting! Buon appetito!
